[📸 Cars rolling into the event]
Alright, so the HAXS Cookout is officially in the books, and honestly it blew up way bigger than anyone expected.
Funny thing is, this wasn't some big planned event — it started as a pretty last-minute idea. Get the boys together, throw some snags on the barbie, and see who turns up to the studio for a casual meet. No fuss, no entry fees, just good cars and good people. We hosted it right here at the HAXS Detailing studio at 4/1271 Ferntree Gully Road, and what was meant to be a small get-together ended up turning into way more than we planned for.
Over 100 Cars Rocked Up (Even in the Rain)
We're not going to sugar-coat it — the weather was not on our side. It rained on and off basically all day. But that didn't stop over 100 modified cars from pulling up and filling out the studio. Say what you want about car people, but we don't let a bit of rain ruin a good meet.

Seeing that many cars packed in, especially in that weather, said a lot about the community around here. People made the effort, showed up, and stuck around.
Snags, Familiar Faces, and Good Vibes
We called it the "Cookout" for a reason — me and the boys were on sausage sizzle duty all day, making sure everyone got fed while they walked around checking out cars. Nothing beats a snag in one hand and admiring someone's build with the other.
It was also just really good to see so many familiar faces. A lot of regulars, a lot of people we've worked on cars for, and a lot of new faces too. That's really what this was about — less of a "car show" and more of a proper catch-up with the community.
Shoutout to the Traffic Control Crew
Big thanks to the mates who jumped on traffic control for the day. With that many cars coming and going, keeping things running smoothly and safely on Ferntree Gully Road wasn't a small job, and they smashed it.

Even Hwy Patrol Rocked Up
Funniest part of the day? Highway Patrol rolled up to see what all the fuss was about. Nobody was in any trouble — they just had a look around, probably curious about the 100+ modified cars parked along the road. Good laugh for everyone, and honestly a pretty funny way to cap off the event.
Thanks for Coming Out
Massive thanks to everyone who came down, brought their cars, and hung around despite the rain. Events like this are what HAXS is all about — not just detailing cars, but being part of the car community around us.

Keep an eye out — we're already talking about making this a regular thing. Follow us on Instagram or check back on the blog so you don't miss the next one.
